Clay represents injured people when a case needs to move into litigation. His role is to handle the lawsuit process, protect the client’s claim, and push the case toward the best possible result.

Clay has a particular interest in commercial vehicle accident cases and Federal Tort Claims Act cases.

When Clay takes over a case, he explains that he will be the attorney handling the lawsuit process. He gives clients a clear overview of what comes next and then continues to update them as the case moves forward.

Insurance is a business.

Insurance companies may have duties under the policy or the law, but their goal is not to protect the injured person. Their goal is to pay as little as they can get away with.

Clay wants injured people to understand that before they talk to insurance, give statements, or accept an offer. What feels like a simple conversation with an adjuster can affect the case later.

Car Accident Cases

Clay handles car accident cases involving serious injuries, disputed fault, and cases that need to be filed in court. These cases may involve rear-end crashes, intersection crashes, distracted driving, and injuries to the neck, back, shoulders, knees, and other parts of the body.

Commercial Vehicle Accident Cases

Clay focuses on commercial vehicle accident cases. These cases can involve delivery vehicles, work trucks, company cars, and other vehicles used for business. They often require careful investigation into the driver, the company, the vehicle, insurance coverage, and how the crash happened.

Federal Tort Claims Act Cases

Clay also handles Federal Tort Claims Act cases. These are injury claims involving negligence by federal employees or federal agencies. These cases have special rules, deadlines, and procedures, which makes careful handling especially important.

Litigation Cases

Clay’s role at the firm is litigation focused. He often becomes involved when a case is ready for a lawsuit. From there, he helps move the case through pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, settlement discussions, and trial preparation.

Clay has practiced law for five years. His prior roles include associate attorney, law clerk, and judicial law clerk.

He has handled multiple trials, including both bench trials and jury trials. He has also been regularly involved in settling cases throughout his entire practice.

Clay’s litigation background helps him prepare cases carefully and explain the lawsuit process to clients in a practical way.

Clay co-edited a publication exposing human rights violations committed by the Syrian government.

Clay likes helping injured people because he has the opportunity to do right by people who have already been done wrong by others.

His job is to step in, move the case forward, and help clients pursue the recovery they deserve.

Outside the office, Clay is abundantly grateful for his four wonderful children and his incredible wife, who keeps their very full life running smoothly.
